One of the two founding members of the firm, Mr. Nesbitt represents clients in commercial/business litigation, business tort, and tort cases, including prosecution and defense of business and contractual disputes, collection cases, loan and note cases, real estate disputes, UCC disputes, business torts, business transactions, secured transactions, and other matters.
Mr. Nesbitt also represents national companies and individuals in the structured settlement and annuity purchasing industry. He played a key role in the development of state and federal legislation for the regulation of settlement purchases and is a nationally recognized attorney and expert in the field.
As a young lawyer, Mr. Nesbitt understood an attorney's important role of ensuring justice to those who cannot afford legal counsel. For several years as an assoicate at a large Dallas law firm, he organized the firm's involvement and staffing of the South Dallas Legal Clinic. The Dallas Bar Association has named him an Outstanding Pro Bono Lawyer several times and named him Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year in 1992. He has worked with Legal Services of North Texas, Inc., on numerous projects and continues to provide pro bono legal services.
Mr. Nesbitt stays active outside of the office, playing tennis and golf, volunteering in his community as a member of the Coppell Park's Board, and supporting Coppell ISD schools.
